NEMA Sewing and Craft Corner

[foogallery id=”251″]

Come build bonds of friendship with other NEMA members while learning to make various costume pieces (such as harem pants and circle skirts that the NEMA members will wear for performances) and taking away knowledge of sewing, so that you can build your dance wardrobe on your own. The group also works on, organizes, and inventories NEMA costumes, trims, fabrics, and notions for NEMA performances. Sewing circle is led by Michelle Montano and other NEMA members (other times TBA as needed).

Spring 2018 session will focus on creating crafting project for the Oxnard Youth Arts Festival and on craft items to sell in October at the NEMA booth at this year’s Steampunk festival in Oxnard. Parents and other family members are welcome to join us-

This is a great way to earn volunteer hours for a discounted membership opportunity.

Donations of trims, fabrics, and notions are always welcome.
